Against my better judgement, I not only installed #Codex on my first #Linux build, I gave it access to my system files......

I'm absolutely blown away. I've spent the last 2 weeks wrestling with #Arch and #hyprland trying to get it functional to daily. Now all of the sudden I just describe what I want, plan it out with "him", and say go do/fix it. In a day it's completely resolved small issues I've been chasing and built some insane new features.

The future really is now.

Being #neurodivergent, anti #AI sentiment looks like #ableism to me: people thinking their experience of AI is the only one that counts, unable to imagine the benefits for someone in a different situation.

Being anti-AI makes one an outcast? Come visit the Fediverse or Reddit bubbles and say a few things favorable to AI and see how that goes.

Jorge Gutierrez just backed out of making a TV series using AI because of death threats against his wife and child. Spare me the victim narrative.

Trying #Mastodon and the #Fediverse for the first time. I'm primarily impressed and it seems to get most things right. Issues I'm having:

- #Hashtags are not filtered by language, so as a new user mostly following hashtags, I get a lot in my feed I can't read.
- #Hashtags are echo chambers for the views mainstream on the Fediverse. For example #AI is mostly not "interesting things in AI" but mainly anti-AI hate posts.
- #Moderation abuse and #censorship that break the instance's own rules.

If we can bring ethical monetization to the fediverse without dark patterns (ie: ads, paid post placements, etc), we should.

Many creators would prefer a platform that supports them financially, and if the fediverse wants to be taken seriously by everyone else, we should make this happen and get server admins and project devs paid too.
