Every news outlet should stand up a Mastondon instance for their reporters & staff.

It’ll be great to see [email protected] or whatever domain they want to use.

Built in verification. Every reporter for the Washington Post on a washpo domain. Every reporter for the New York Times on an NYTimes domain. Etc, etc.

Plus the “local” feed for each instance becomes a feed of all the posts from that institution mixed together — providing extra discovery.

PSA for for pretty much everyone, even those who aren’t new - there is another mass migration underway. Meaning lots of accounts are being created on instances all across the fediverse, and the people behind those accounts are exploring, introducing themselves, and so on. Some instances handle this load better than others.

PLEASE NOTE: while you can migrate an account to a new instance and your followers will move with you, however doing so during times like this may cause that to not work correctly.

Please be patient with instances that are have trouble keeping up. They will get it under control. We are all doing the best we can. Most all instances are funded by donations from members. If you are able, look at your instance’s /about page and consider donating.

If you are hospitalized with blood clots within 3 months of a Covid infection, are you hospitalized for Covid?

Answer: No

This is only one of many health issues that develop after an acute Covid infection that will put someone in the hospital or kill them. They won't be counted because all of those health conditions have other causes/triggers & they won't be positive in the moment.
