As I read about yet another consumer product from China that has lead in it, I wondered if anybody’s been checking our metal water bottles. I have about a dozen and every single one of them is made in China.
Look at how hard Duolingo is trying to get me to buy Max and AI. My app icon suddenly aged because I kept saying NO! 🤣🤣🤣
I am once again broken by what I am learning today:
- By how badly Gaza’s major hospital was destroyed and patients left…many emaciated, burned and crushed.
- By the killing by Israel of aid workers at World Central Kitchen, which I’ve supported in its humanitarian effort in Gaza.
- By Israel’s bombing of Iran’s embassy in Syria to assassinate a military official.
How are these crimes allowed? Even Israelis are protesting. Would the U.S. stand by if ANY other country had bombed an embassy??
It suddenly occurred to me that some of the screenplay competitions out there, especially the new ones and especially the free ones, might very well be using submitted scripts as training tools for AI and writers are unwittingly facilitating that with their original work.
Nate Barham@mekkaokereke It’s a hate bubble wherein the majority pretend racism doesn’t exist, concentrating the number of people coming in from other places who also think it doesn’t, which increases the number of people who get mad when it does come up, which makes it look ok to be mad about it, and here we are.
All the while, the state increases restrictions on what teachers like me are allowed to discuss on the matter. I’ve been indirectly threatened more than once by parents about it over the years.
What’s not to love about this?
