Linux Mint / Libre Office Help!

Is there a dictation software (🚨supporting Swedish!🚨) that I can get for LibreOffice to save my hands when I'm note-taking for granny's diaries?

Boosts appreciated!

@iampytest1 @deviantollam I have always enjoyed Deviant's drive to share the information that excites him. To quote someone "it's not what you love, but how you love it" and Dev obviously loves this stuff.
In the 1960s, the B-52 bomber could navigate by the stars. Celestial navigation requires spherical trigonometry, so an analog Angle Computer solved these equations electromechanically. Let's look inside...
@kwf people don't travel with money any more.

The Seattle Times: 84 years after Executive Order 9066, we are repeating history

"...Eighty-four years ago, President Franklin D. Roosevelt signed Executive Order 9066, authorizing the forced removal and mass incarceration of more than 125,000 Japanese Americans during World War II...."

I spent quite a bit of time on BlueSky for several months and found that if you’re a nobody there is close to no engagement. If you’re a somebody, the platform laps it up.

But on Mastodon the conversation flows irrespective of who you are.

I know where I’d rather be https://fediscience.org/@kathhayhoe/116065653289142235

Dr. Katharine Hayhoe (@[email protected])

For a long time, Twitter was the best place to share and find the latest science. Until the algorithm changed, that is. Overnight, my posts went from thousands to dozens of views, while the trolling I received skyrocketed. Instead of tens of hateful replies, I started getting thousands of them. Where were scientists supposed to go? I tried Mastodon, LinkedIn, and other platforms: but nothing really clicked. Then along came Bluesky. It takes a while to regrow a community: but a new survey of 830 scientists by @[email protected] and Julia Wester now finds that "for every reported professional benefit that scientists once gained from Twitter, scientists can now gain that benefit more effectively on Bluesky than on Twitter."
