Hi, I'm Jared. I live in #colorado, and by day, I am a #línux admin and work on #kafka.

Things I enjoy doing: #photography and #iphonephotography, #offroading and #camping in my #jeep, watching #soccer (go #bvb and #switchbacksfc), tinkering with #homeassistant, and working on my forever project, rebuilding a 1948 #willys #cj2a.

* The message wasn't about treasure, it was about danger. That's on me.
* I won't sugarcoat it – the danger is still present, and now it's in your body.

@liaizon There’s a really solid write-up of how to do something like this using free tools. I love the font they made: Sans Bullshit Sans. https://pixelambacht.nl/2015/sans-bullshit-sans/

Beautiful essay by Terry Godier about RSS reader UI and software creating obligations:

"An interface that shows you an unread count is making an argument: that reading is something to be counted, that progress is something to be measured, that your relationship to this content is one of obligation."

Phantom Obligation

Why RSS readers look like email clients, and what that's doing to us.

"In China, driverless delivery vans have become a total meme, they plow through crumbling roads, fresh concrete, motorcycles, anything. Nothing stops them."
