@NorcalGma2 Aired down the tires & put driftwood under them for traction.😊
Pro tips! Someone in the truck has to had to have been #OffRoading on sand or soft dirt before! 🤷♂️
But did you have a compressor or a CO2 tank to air the tires back up when you hit the pavement again? 🤔
Day-after thought: the biggest upgrade wasn’t “better color tools” or “more features.” It was reliability. Clipchamp made me do admin work just to start creating. Resolve makes me learn, but it doesn’t waste my time on nonsense.
If you’re in the same “I just want to edit my footage” boat, the Field Note’s here: https://adventureadjacent.com/2025/12/23/switching-to-davinci-resolve-clipchamp-made-me-do-it/
Share your experience in upgrading tools. I remember my leap from Audacity to Reaper was huge, but well worth the effort!

Clipchamp had me re-linking the same media so often it felt like I was paying a toll to work on my own project. Same folders. Same computer. Same footage. New round of “prove it” every time.
So I switched to DaVinci Resolve which is less “drag and drop” and more “welcome to the cockpit.” I wrote up what tripped me up (nodes, Groups, Fairlight, multi-cam syncing) and the small moments where it finally started to make sense.
Also: I’m cutting my first multi-angle / multi-camera trail video right now! Fishing Creek Revisited (working title), from an early August run at Fishing Creek Nature Preserve. It’s the first time the edit feels like what my brain wanted to make, not just footage stitched together.
