To conclude the past month of drama about #Twitter, here's a list of suggestions about what we can do to connect with each other besides posting on social media sites.

tl;dr Call your US Representative and ask them to support S. 1541, which just passed the Senate by Unanimous Consent. https://www.house.gov/representatives/find-your-representative

Currently, there are spots in the US where calls from jails cost $1/minute. 1/3 families with someone incarcerated go into debt keeping in contact.

The Senate just passed S. 1541, which will bring prison phone and video call rates back down to reasonable levels and allow the FCC to start regulating video calls as well.

NEW: Apparently another woman was kicked out of Madison Square Garden, at a #BrandiCarlile concert, because of #facialrecognition

This is a very big deal. At stake here is the legal argument that book removals create a hostile environment for minorities targeted by them.

While that's incredibly obvious to many of us - it's a huge deal to see the fed gov weighing in on it.
