Dr. Luther Castillo Harris was the first Garífuna* to graduate from Harvard University. But his journey began in the classrooms of Havana, Cuba. He earned his medical degree from the #LatinAmericanSchoolOfMedicine (#ELAM) in Cuba. Now he is serving as Honduras’ Secretary of State for Science and Technology.

Belly of the Beast journalist Liz Oliva Fernández sat down with Dr. Castillo recently to talk about his inspiring personal journey and the impact of Cuba’s international #HealthInternationalism.
