The NPS is conducting prescribed burns in the Indiana Dunes National Park to prevent forest fires from having fuel when conditions dry out in the summer.
There is a burned area that looks better than the unburned areas on E 5th from County Line Road in Miller near Woodlake Village. All the invasive plants and dead leaves have been converted into carbon, but the natural trees are still standing.

The albino deer walking in Northwest Indiana this morning.
There was another one in the area a few years ago. It died after being hit by a car on Main Street in Crown Point after darting into the road.. The ashes are buried in a garden in a Crown Point, Indiana, United Methodist Church.
They are rare, like 1 in 30,000 rare. I wonder if this one is related to the other one.
