As the summer wanes, I find myself thinking about teaching. I’m mulling over a spring British Survey (1788-present) on mystery & detection. I have some ideas on fiction & essays, but also need to cover poetry & theatre in the various periods. Would love suggestions…

Results so far (across several platforms)
- many folks say crunch
(Applied to many systems including 5e)
- several name Paranoia
(I confess I love those sometimes)
- references to Bluebeard’s Bride
(one AP of it is doing the festival circuit)

Most surprising: no mentions of romantic/erotic systems.

Seeking more examples in TTRPG Actual Play of PVP, heel turns, or any situation where players are working in opposition to one another (bonus points for sustained conflict between core members of a table rather than guests)

If you need me to play a librarian in your supernatural horror movie, I can provide my own box of browned newspaper clippings labeled “Ghosts, Witchcraft &c.” that I can pull out and say “Oh yes, the disappearance of Jessica Barnes, I think we have something on that.”
