Confrontations are feeling a lot more lively.
Added some sound and visual effects. Also: the combat engine now supports mid-combat spawns.
Now I just need to give the player the ability to see 'one turn into the future' so they can strategize their turns.

To Ash and Ember needed sprites for its combat system and, though I'm no sprite artist, I decided to give making some a shot. It's actually kind of relaxing! Just wish it didn't take so long to do.

OK, I lied. I thought it was good to go but the update to the map's shadows when terror went up/down was broken and I failed to notice. So, there's that now (I also added little lights underneath the map-markers so that they stood out in the darkness some) #indiedev #indiegame #gamedev #godotengine #toashandember

Just about ready to put players into hospitals and asylums. If you can't afford the treatment and time, you'll have to break out of them -- and so the Dungeon system is being reborn for To Ash and Ember.
