yeah okay that's unfair of me, it does actually help and it did a lot for my confidence and my therapist is honestly an awesome human being
but it's like... carrying around a 10 liter jug of water for years, and every session you can only pour out, like, 50 ml into a tiny glass. It's better than nothing, I'm glad I can do this at all, but fuck I just need so so so so much more. Every time I can't help but leave disappointed that my jug is still so heavy
The biggest benefit of being in therapy so far:
1) got super frustrated with how little today's session had brought me, as well as with my life, body, and the whole damn world
2) angrily power walked 5 km
3) came home still angry, Turkish rap blasting in my ears, and did 5 very angry push-ups...
...where before I could do 0 (if we don't count knee push-ups)...
...yay, I can do 5 full push-ups now! I'll take it as a win
