The fun is over. The post was taken down by the admin but I’ll take that as a win.

A fellow queer person was in the trenches with me and they made a post asking for LGBTQ gamers. This post was met with hostility and even fellow queers saying we don’t need that. That no one cares if you’re queer when gaming. I dunno where they’re from but if rando’s find out I’m trans while gaming that can go very poorly. Queer gamers get harassed and threatened all the time.

It’s sad when your own community doesn’t get it’s a safety thing to play with other queer people.

Join me in celebrating my wife… she just nailed an interview this morning and got an offer ON THE SPOT!

It’s Long Covid Awareness Day.

This year marks 3 years of living with it for me… and my health continues to be precarious.

I do my best to walk through life in the present and to manage what I’m able to - while relentlessly advocating for myself in the Canadian* medical system.

If this sounds like you too… know that you’re not alone. I see you.

For Black History Month I curated a list of Black folks in the arts who haven’t just given white folks fodder for cultural appropriation. They’ve moved the needle by inspiring change and creating friction.

These are people who have fueled resistance against systemic inequities. People who make many white folks uncomfortable.

Maybe some of their names are new to you. Please say hello.

Yesterday, a young person noticed my trans flag heart pin on my vest, got a big smile on their face, and felt comfortable enough to have a brief talk about being non-binary while I was ringing up their items.

THIS is part of why being visible to other trans and non-binary people is so important.

I realized this morning what local AI agents (OpenClaw, Cowork, etc.) remind me of

New Indie Dispatch is here, and we finally have our new logo to share!

But what a week it’s been for indie games. #Mewgenics actually came out, and it’s been well worth the wait!

What are you playing this weekend?

Tactical cats, undercover aliens, and lunar mayors - Indie Dispatch

I am sitting here late on Friday night, exhausted from a week of intense work and battling the flu. Despite the tiredness, there is a ridiculous smile on my face because I also have managed to sink a few hours into Mewgenics, and I am not going to lie, that has been an incredibly good time.

We're excited to launch our most-requested Bridgy Fed feature: being able to interact with unbridged users!

Starting today, when people interact with you on the other side of the bridge, you'll get a notification over DM along with a "respond" link, where you can like, repost, reply, or block.

More details here: https://blog.anew.social/launch-interact-with-unbridged-replies-mentions/

Launch: Interact with Unbridged Replies & Mentions

Last year, we launched a feature for Bridgy Fed that sent a DM of an hourly digest of interactions that we couldn't bridge back to your native platform. While that gave you visibility into interactions you normally wouldn't have, you still had to have an account in the other ecosystem
