Social media should be centered around people, not platforms. Let's build bridges, not walls. That's why we're building Bridgy Fed and Bounce.

If you're building an Atmosphere client or platform, and want to build a similar experience, check out how in our docs: https://fed.brid.gy/docs#bluesky-fields
Bridgy Fed

Bridgy Fed is a bridge between decentralized social networks like the fediverse, Bluesky, and web sites and blogs.

Got the blues because your Fediverse posts sent through Bridgy Fed that are over 300 characters get truncated on the Atmosphere, and they have to click into a link?

Well, good news: starting today, deck.blue, a TweetDeck-like client for Bluesky, shows the *full* post from over the bridge - no truncation, no links!

v2.20 is up! - Bookmarks from Bluesky now supported - Verification badges (can be turned off!) - @ap.brid.gy support (shows full text from ActivityPub when clicking bridged posts) - Video player fixes - Other minor fixes - Roadmap update Please take a look at the full post below for more info! https://www.patreon.com/posts/154420498?pr=true

A New Social is at #AtmosphereConf and announcing new features for Bounce, the protocol migration service. Soon, you'll be able to use Bounce to migrate your bridged account into any PDS in the Atmosphere, and keep all your followers in the Fediverse! Check out Bounce at bounce.anew.social.

Bounce lets you migrate from one decentralized social network to another, keep all of your followers, and keep many of the people you follow.

See y'all at #ATmosphereConf!

Long-form is an important medium, and one that's growing on the open social web. We think this is a great start toward bridging ecosystems further than just microblogging on Bridgy Fed.

We can't wait to see what you write, no matter which platform you use.

If your Atmosphere (Bluesky, Blacksky, Eurosky, Northsky, etc.) account is bridged, all of your standard.site publications and documents will bridge over to the Fediverse and the web!

We also make sure your standard.site's reference bsky posts reach Fediverse microblogging platforms as Notes with a link to the blog post to keep the experience the same across ecosystems! Similarly, Fediverse reader platforms like WordPress and Ghost will get the full article.

Today, Bridgy Fed begins expanding beyond microblogging, starting with long-form ๐Ÿ“œโ†”๏ธ๐Ÿ“ƒ

If your Fediverse blog or website is bridged, your posts will be bridged to the Atmosphere, as standard.site documents!

You'll need to take steps to be indexed by major platforms across the Atmosphere, and we've outlined them in the post and our docs: https://blog.anew.social/long-form-comes-to-bridgy-fed/

Long-Form Comes To Bridgy Fed

Up until now, Bridgy Fed has only supported the bridging of microblogging content. Even when we bridged articles from the web or from Article types in ActivityPub, ATProtocol-based microblogs would only receive a link to the article rather than the content of the long-form post. One of the main reasons
