So, #Mario fans.

A thought occurred to me as I did back-to-back completions of Super Mario Bros 3.

This little fish guy, with the blue body, red underbelly and slight spines on the back.

Does this guy appear in any other Mario game?
I haven't gone into full on research mode, as I figured i'd posit the question to everyone else.

Off the top of my head, I want to say no, but knowing Mario games, this guy surely appears somewhere else right?
I realise the irony of saying this when the plant thing is also on screen, though, an on-land cousin of that is in Super Mario World.

It's more this specific design, as this is not a standard cheep-cheep enemy.
