What I am thinking when I ⭐ a post:
⭐ "I like what you've said, but I am too tired to comment."
⭐ "My, that artwork is pretty. I'd comment but I am a bit overwhelmed right now."
⭐ "What an adorable kitty/puppy/bird/llama/cow/piglet/pony etc! Would comment but really exhausted at the moment."
⭐ "I feel a connection with you, fellow human. Let's visit - after a nap."
I do care but so much of the time I am just worn out and a ⭐ is the best I've got.

MASTODON FEATURE REQUEST: Turn off comments
When writing a post, have the ability to turn off comments from others.
This is useful for when you want to broadcast a message, but do not want to engage in a conversation or have that conversation hi-jacked by bad actors.
Just had an epiphany where I connected deictic centre with my work on critiquing externalist design. These terms will be unfamiliar to most, in part because the latter is my own.
But the idea I'm working with is this: With externalist design, players are not cued to transport to the centre of the storyworld, they’re cued to transport to the centre of the designer's system.
What do you think about when I say such words? What good or bad results do you think can come from such a design? TY!
