This is something that's been on my mind as it applies equally to photography and really any form of media that's now digital-only.
I've been slowly scanning old photos, slides, and negatives from my family. All of these predate digital phtography, and some are close to 100 years old, predating any meaningful use of electronic computers.
And looking at the present, there's only a small handful of photos of my daughter (10 years old) that aren't digital. I would not be surprised if by the time she's an adult, the majority of these are permanently lost to her. Saddened, but not surprised.
As a hobby, I'm starting to shoot a bit on film again. But the sheer convenience of digital snapshots - especially with an always-present phone - often make it a choice between digital, or no picture at all.
