I'm a lazy, unaffiliated (#adFree) #twitch streamer, Fridays 8ish-10pm, from #Belfast.

I make a tit out of myself by #singing songs (I can't sing) and playing #guitar (I know 5 chords). From 9pm the regular stream is #Quiz based so drop in for current affairs/general knowledge #trivia, political rants, and community #games.

Toots will be mainly be exasperations about UK/international #politics but also #environment #rugby #arts #booze #lgbtqia

Have been here about 3 weeks now, so am happy to share some information with new arrivals.

1. The T in Mastodon is silent to discourage the use of letters found in the word Twitter

2. That guy in the corner is Abe, he bites redheads and shouldn't be woken between 2pm and 9.15pm

3. The colour verdigris is not banned but is strongly discouraged

4. Question marks are now commas

5. Jokes must be exactly 173 characters long and/or in rhyming couplets

6. Fun is mandatory but rationed, for safety

People moan about Twitter being toxic etc, but it has become the best (only?) source for real-time news. You cannot get any quicker than learning information from people already on the ground and posting about what they are seeing.

Twitter knew what was happening before legacy media had even got out of bed.

if it goes down, we have lost an incredibly important source of news.
