The whole Open Game License thing is making me realize you can just put anything in that LICENSE.txt file so long as it looks like legalese and doesn't make anyone angry. Wizards got away with it for decades.

The company that owns Dungeons and Dragons (D&D) is planning to revoke the open license that has, since the year 2000, applied to a wide range of unofficial, commercial products that build on the mechanics of the game.
20 years later the open source Colonization game FreeCol hits 1.0

Here's a small preview of the current state of #folklands
Right now we're working on settling most of the in-game systems, such as how happiness relates to service coverage (fire, taxation, entertainment, etc) and how to drive players forward through the game.
