Oregon lawmakers last week gave final approval to a bill that ends the state's ban on self-service gas pumps, a prohibition that has been in place since 1951.
The change will take affect soon as gov signs bill.

Me? I tend toward yes. I get the arguments against e.g. demonstrating the weapon in an unpopulated or military-only area, but not convinced.
Had to clear some things up with the guy who was painting my house yesterday.
While we were discussing the gentrification currently taking place in my town, he made a snide comment to the effect that, if I were transgender, all the new upkeep the city was demanding of me would have been free. I pointed out that trans folk are frequently the victims of violence and hatred, not recipients of free money, and mentioned some specific examples. I also said I'm not trans but that trans people are people and deserve to be treated as such.
So he pivoted, saying he had no problem with trans people but he didn't like that Biden was "forcing it on us" and "shoving it down our throats". So I pointed out that it was only talk, and nobody was actually forcing anybody to do anything. Then I mentioned the new laws in Florida that are shockingly similar to laws made in Nazi Germany to "weed out" Jewish people. He changed the subject, made an excuse, and left. Bye dude.
I just blocked any mention of the former guy, I cannot take it, he is despicable and abhorrent in absolutely every possible way.
Doesn't mean I won't keep up with the news relative to the indictments & his alarming trajectory within the #GOP, but it means I won't be ambushed by posts with photos of & quotes by him.
I am disgusted beyond disgust, I'm hurtling toward nihilistic despair.
