I am an astronomer who has asked nicely for years for SpaceX to be safer in orbit, think about ways to use fewer satellites, think about the consequences of burning up so many satellites, and think about ways to make their satellites darker. This filing proposing a million satellites is a clear "fuck you" from SpaceX to the entire astronomy community, as well as the entire planet.

So, fuck you, too, SpaceX!

And yes, I fully expect loads of „How I escaped Dubai and the war“ videos getting the clicks while hundreds of thousands of people that are non-white, just trying to get back to their homes in Egypt, Morocco, Algeria etc are ignored. Not even mentioning the Indian, Philippine, Sri Lankan workers in the region.

There was a comprehensive and successful peace deal in 2016 signed by the US, Iran, Europe, Russia and China. It was already signed and implemented, it was working:

Then when Trump got elected he unilaterally tore it up for no clear reason at all, he was the only one rejecting it. Now ten years later he's bombing Iran for no clear reason at all.
