I am somehow reminded of the Eyjafjallajökull eruption in 2010 when flights were grounded and people complained that the towels in their five star hotels weren’t warm enough when I hear „influencers“ complaining about being stuck in Dubai.
And yes, I fully expect loads of „How I escaped Dubai and the war“ videos getting the clicks while hundreds of thousands of people that are non-white, just trying to get back to their homes in Egypt, Morocco, Algeria etc are ignored. Not even mentioning the Indian, Philippine, Sri Lankan workers in the region.
