#supersentai Day had me amped up so I tried out a model I'd been working on for streaming.

Learned some simple Blender tools and cobbled together a low poly Rangersona! The whole thing went alright but I've got a lot to learn.

It's another special day! Happy 30th Anniversary, #PowerRangers !!! I was exactly the right age to become obsessed with my first real exposure to #tokusatsu .

#MMPR is a huge turning point in my hobbies and interests, pushing me to pursue films, shows, content, and games to voraciously enjoy. Naturally, it got me into #SuperSentai and other adjacent shows like #KamenRider as well.

I was there at the beginning, karate chopping my younger brother in the neck because a man dressed in dinosaur-themed spandex was kicking ass on our TV.

Whether it's the highs of the mid-Disney era, or the lowest lowest of Super Mega Force...I have a fondness for the Power Rangers' franchise and its earnestness.

Meeting #DavidYost at NYCC meant so much to me, he listened to me ramble about how important his role was, how helpful it was to see a group of friends that included the shy, less confident kid. He was such a class act, as I'm sure he's heard that a trillion times.

In Japan, it's August 27th which is #Mother2 's birthday! 29 years ago in 1994, what is probably the most important game in my life released.

#Earthbound released in the US in July of 1995 and I was just shy of ten years old. I grabbed the game at Blockbuster because the #SNES box was gigantic and those weird scratch-n-sniff stickers in #Nintendo Power. I expected gross out jokes and to return it quickly.

What I didn't expect was to connect with the game on such a deep level. #Ness was a ten year old kid, living in the suburbs with his single mom, and had an absent father. I was the same age, lived with my mom, and only ever spoke to my dad over the phone. I walked around town like Ness. My only friend was our neighbor who was kind of a jerk.

Earthbound has taught me since I was 10. About being a child that's growing into an adult. The lessons of kindness, curiosity, and letting yourself be silly are the ones I hold most dear.

A week or so behind on #ultraman #blazar but Episode 4 is seriously top tier #tokusatsu .

The choreography at both kaiju level and the ground fights are fantastic, Emi was the star of the show for sure. The show's really selling how professional this crew is, and their various strengths/abilities.

The kaiju this week is actually real gross and the suit itself is very unique. Same vibes as fighting Khezu in #monsterhunter . Great power set and visuals.

Moving right on to Ep 5 but I love this one, possibly the best so far.
