Hikomichi64We’ve reached the point where those endless meandering comparisons have actively damaged #gaming discussions. Because gaming-title adjectives are being used without restraint said games are being boiled down to their most shallow levels. All artistic direction has been stripped from Dark Souls as it now only means hard game. All artistic direction has been stripped from #earthbound as it now means too down pixel rpg etc. It is really maddening to see and will probably never get better.

GAME #1 OF OUR VIDEO GAME CLUB 🎮 <br><br>I finally finished this after almost 3 months off and on trudging through it. I am not the most adept at TB RPGs and this one surely kicked my ass and left me frustrated, however I really enjoyed this game. It has such a particular…vibe between the music, the visuals, the dialogue and the plot. It is undeniably culturally significant. <br>It has really goofy humor too but also delves into a rather dark and serious tone later in the game (<em>which I won’t spoil</em>)<br>I can certainly see why Earthbound holds the praise it does. Being one of the most coveted, obscure and expensive SNES games of the era it is an unforgettable experience of childhood, hardship and pushing through the doubts of courage. <br>I am happy I played this to also see the undeniable inspiration it brought to games after like: Omori, Undertale, Hylics and Yume Nikki just to name a few.
