My name's Adam! I live in Tacoma, WA. I love maps, nature, plants, gardening, and cooking.

USDA Zone 9a / Köppen Csb

Wild orchids, rhododendrons, and bunchberry at Salt Creek Falls in Oregon. The falls themselves (the second tallest in Oregon after Multnomah Falls) were spectacular as well.

Fun local fact for my Washington friends: WA state leads the US in rhubarb production, and of that, the vast majority of acreage is in Pierce County.

In fact, I found out there's a Rhubarb festival in Bonney Lake each year in late June which I'm considering checking out.

Saw some flowering native honeysuckle (Lonicera ciliosa) down at the dog park at Wapato Park, here in Tacoma. Always love this time of year.

Some good news! A right to repair bill just passed the state House and Senate (ESHB 1483) and is onto the governor to sign.

@adam I like the angry face. Hates you for stealing its eggs.

Much classier than my instinct to put a chicken face on the *other* end.

@adam

Gotta ask: how many eggs did you break filling it?

@ducksauz None! I thought they would but I was able to put them in carefully. I preloaded the bottom tier first, and then added them carefully from the top.
@adam Hey, cool! What's that hold, like 20 eggs?
@isocat That's roughly what I counted. Fit just under two dozen.

@adam very cool. I’ve been meaning to do something like this.

We just keep a stack of cartons on the counter and try to “fill the bottom and eat the top”. This is classier.

Any breakage?

@adam
Broken any yet?
@KentNavalesi None yet! You sometimes have to shake it to get more eggs to come out, and they hold up well even with that.
