Back to #Tacoma roof racks... A roof rack is such a good and convenient place to put an antenna. It might be worth the fuel economy hit and the wind noise.

I can't put any antennas forward of the windshield sight lines to keep my 👸🏼 happy. She wants nothing obscuring the view.

I've got a tonneau cover on the bed and the bed is fiberglass so there's an obstruction and there's a poor ground plane back there. Yes the exterior of the bed is sheet metal but all of the interior is fiberglass of some sort.

There are brackets to put antennas just above the rear brake lights. But I really don't like that mounting location (easy for me to rip the antenna off the truck on brush and bushes). And poor grounding. And it looks quite odd.

That really only leaves the roof.

Hence the need for a roof rack.

This is a long shot, but if anyone has a recommendation for general contractors that do bathroom accessibility remodels in Pierce County, WA, I'd love a referral or two.

I've reached out to a few folks already, but it's always nice to get a personal recommendation.
