UNRELEASED U.S. VERSION

When you’re super-used to the original version of this album, this previously unreleased U.S. mix (originally intended for release around Sept. ‘79, but ultimately shelved) is a little jarring.

But it’s actually PRETTY cool.

It’s crazily rearranged, and the drums are WILD.
There is no Religion 1 and 2, and a few songs from Second Edition are included.
The version of Annalisa is extended, Lydon’s vocals seem a bit more raw, and ALL of Levine’s guitars seem far more bright. And the bass is super thick and punchy throughout.

The U.S. were definitely trying to Frankenstein something they could sell a little easier to an American audience.

If you’ve ever loved PIL, this record is a definite must have. Really cool version of this.

Finally picked this up today! And I couldn’t be more pleased with it.

Hamilton is a dude whose career I’ve been following since way back at the beginning with The Walkman.

The guy just makes really cool music, and this album is no different.
A uniquely versatile artist and musician with an unmistakable voice.

Highly recommend this one.

I am overjoyed!

I know this is seasonably inappropriate, but I couldn’t give less of a shit.

I found this in a used bin today; the record is pristine, and the book is complete and fully intact to the jacket.

This is essentially the entire TV special on record, with a book to read along, and wonderful illustrations of the whole #Peanuts gang to help tell the story.

A Charlie Brown Christmas is my favorite #christmas related thing ever. It doesn’t have to be the holidays for me to watch it either. It makes me happy like few other things do.

I have four different presses of Vince Guaraldi’s soundtrack, but I had never come across THIS before, particularly in such good shape.

It’s only June, but it’s FULLY Christmas in my house today!
So happy!

An ITALIAN pressing of the soundtrack to Midnight Cowboy?
For two dollars?!?!
Yes, please.

Famous for the Harry Nilsson cover of “Everybody’s Talkin’”, which everybody thinks is his song, but was actually written by the great Fred Neil.

Midnight Cowboy was another one of those movies that was on TV a lot when I was a kid, albeit in heavily edited and butchered form.
Nonetheless, the music will forever live rent-free in my head forever, due to the amount of Saturday and Sunday afternoon viewings of the film that I had as a kid.

A record I like to pull out once every couple of years.
A really nice, earthy folk record, the first of the two albums they made.

It’s also a really SOUNDING record fidelity-wise. Sonically wonderful.

I like to throw this on whilst having a few wobbly pops. A perfect drinking record.

I’ve always really liked this band.
They’ve never put out a bad record; kind of the weigh station between Springsteen and punk rock.
Great hooks, great melodies, great lyrics.
Just a really good band.

This is my personal favorite of theirs, but I do love them all.

This record just pummels you from the start. Just one killer tune after another, and it doesn’t let up.

Great end of the week album.

I’m giving my last two (mini) spins of the night to Neil Young, with two original 7” singles of some of his most beloved songs, and not just the A-sides.

I was lucky to find both of these in such great shape. They’re both near-flawless and sound amazing.

It’ll be a sad day when Neil goes.
What a remarkable life he’s had, and what a gift he’s been to the world.
