Another plug for @MoriartyLab's amazing COVID risk tool for Canadian provinces.

As you know if you've followed me on Twitter, Canada had a very high baseline for over a year, with no summer break in 2022 (versus very low levels in summer 2020 and 2021).

We finally have a real lull again. Should you still mask indoors in public? I do 100%. If, as I do, you need to recharge and reconnect after such a long period of no lulls, outdoors is much better though not risk free.

I must confess that when I was younger I expected the future to have more robot butlers and jetpacks, and less plague and fascism, but here we are.
Something old, with some blue, and something new :) a visual feed break from the current healthcare crisis.
Old (and blue!): my long lost cheesecake recipe gifted by a woman in 1982 (Mama found the recipe for me! Today!) in lieu of traditional bday cake for my son (he’s not cake fan) 🎂🥳🎉🥧
New: when you have some extra ingredients, you make something new…baileys chocolate cheesecake with caramel and choco drizzle 😋

- 1 in 22 will have a major cardiac event within 12 months after infection
- 1 in 5 will get Long Covid
- The more often you get Covid the more likely you are to get Long Covid

Had a client in recently & while I’m not allowed to diagnose, I’m a great guesser!!

A lot of people don’t realize that because RMT’s touch skin all day to work the muscle tissue, we have a LOT of pathology training so we can help identify when to refer a client out.

Swollen glands, sore shoulder, pain on palpation of axillary N, small rash on chest (1 dot, & another grouping just larger than a quarter, 1 tiny spot of pestilence.) sadly for for client, I thought Shingles, & shingles it was!

And YES, I want an award 🏆🤣😂🤣
