Another plug for @MoriartyLab's amazing COVID risk tool for Canadian provinces.

As you know if you've followed me on Twitter, Canada had a very high baseline for over a year, with no summer break in 2022 (versus very low levels in summer 2020 and 2021).

We finally have a real lull again. Should you still mask indoors in public? I do 100%. If, as I do, you need to recharge and reconnect after such a long period of no lulls, outdoors is much better though not risk free.

Outdoors is one of the slices of cheese.
@TRyanGregory it could all be solved if people stopped going out in public knowingly ill. Like the good old days. And the health care movement of seeing smiles is the absolute WORST. Most people heading to Dr or hospital aren’t healthy. I still have my clients mask for their appointments. So frustrating when it could be ‘almost’ easy to calm the spread.
@TRyanGregory 😂 coffee is good 😊
@TRyanGregory
There is always risk with living. We do our very best. I’m so sorry this has happened to you after all you’ve done for people (for free!).

@lucystorer @TRyanGregory this. You’re allowed to eat outside and determine your own risks. I am very COVID safe but I absolutely travel. I have other risks (young adult children and a FF husband), so the odd patio is low on my overall risk chart. I feel it’s safer to be outside in the sunshine, to eat outside, for a few weeks of winter rather than being surrounded by maskless coughers in the Walmart. N95 airport/plane, if inside stores/public bathrooms, even when away.
@briankung so gross 😩 I just don’t understand the hate festering in some white people. So sorry this happened to your wife.
I must confess that when I was younger I expected the future to have more robot butlers and jetpacks, and less plague and fascism, but here we are.
@ashleygwinter 😂 love it! So punny 😆
