Who needs cat toys when you can just let the occasional flying insect into the house? This thought brought to you by Humboldt Anning, Science #Cat. It’s early, but I’m calling this my #caturday contribution.
Somehow it’s already the last week of July & that means this Thursday is #WeirdWords #Writing Group! For our sixth week, we’re working with the Liminal Spirit Oracle from @liminalearth and I’m excited to hear what y’all write.
I was forced to construct and eat two delicious sandwiches to demonstrate how important perspective can be.
New #rock friends from a new (to me) #rockhounding spot in the #MtHood Forest, on the Callowash River. My happy place. #agate #jasper #chalcedony #QueerOutside
Sometimes it’s good to spend a day staring at birds. There were many bird butts and blorbs but this shot of two #VioletGreenSwallow parents turned out pretty alright #birdstodon #birds #pnw #NaturePhotography

My curiosity has been sparked by the mysterious orgone stuff I’ve noticed popping up in my world, which has lead me to read about its discoverer, Wilhelm Reich (an admittedly controversial figure).

Today’s advice: do 50-200 kicks daily to break down your armor and get your orgone flowing!

Brought to you from this excellent book recommended by @APStrange Thanks to the Internet Archive you can read all about it too! https://archive.org/details/orgonereicheros00mann

Another favorite from the new-to-me #ShortBeach on the #OregonCoast is this composit rock that seems to be some red pumice material, with a stripe of teal, covered in sparkly ?quartz?. Having a hard time getting a good picture of the green #zeolites inside. Never seen one like this before! #rockhounding
Found this friend at Short beach along with some agates, a few carnelians and some little pretty jasper. I love #rockhounding
For #caturday I offer you Humboldt Anning, who had to spend several days at the vet due to a blocked urinary tract. He got to come home yesterday morning and is very happy, despite the new haircut
