Stunning and 5,000 years old, close up the marbled wood is a sight to see, you can stand inside her, yes Yew trees can be male or female and yes they can change gender
I wonder, if trees could talk, just imagine what this one has seen, it's more than twice the age of Jesus, it's seen empires come and go.

#OTD 1526 François I of France & Emperor Charles V signed the Treaty of Madrid. François claimed later it was done under duress after his forces had been completely defeated by Charles at the Battle of Pavia, and François himself captured. F had to cede territory, offer sons as hostages & marry Charles’s sister, Eleonor, the widowed Queen of Portugal. As soon as he was safe in France, François repudiated the treaty.
