I'm interested in addressing the stress and anxiety of modern life through yoga, mindfulness & philosophy. 750 hour cert' yoga teacher trained in mental health & trauma, I also work in social innovation and design at an Australian University.
In a world that can glorify hustle and endless scaling as a measure of success, what if we paused and asked: is this truly serving us? 'Success' we might discover isn't about striving, but about Being Here Now. Living a life that feels aligned, spacious, and connected.

My passion for yoga has taught me to be open to the present moment, connect to my breath, and listen to my body. Growth doesn’t have to come from pushing past our limits (e.g. striving for scale) but from meeting ourselves where we are. This is inner growth.

What if success was reframed as achieving balance? When we intuitively know that enough is enough? We might then actually wake up each day with a sense of calm instead of anxiety driven by the need to 'succeed', and instead find joy in small, meaningful moments.

Rather than chasing the ever-elusive “more,” we could choose a path of sustainability; a path that allows us to show up fully for ourselves and others.

True success isn’t about burning out for the capitalist dream. It’s about showing up, moment by moment, to live authentically and wholeheartedly.

When the world is seemingly falling apart, when life is overwhelming and confusing, what else to do than come home?

Sitting (or laying) and centering ourselves in the heart space, our true home, paradoxically can itself feel overwhelming, because it's here in these quiet moments that we might really feel the anxiety, feel the weight of the world.

But, if we can learn to lovingly (underlined - lovingly) acknowledge that these feelings are here, and learn to sit with them rather than distract ourselves or push them away, we begin to familiarise ourselves with uncomfortable sensations and emotions, eventually perhaps even befriending them.

It's not easy, but that's why it's called practice. Sitting in this space, there is nothing to achieve, nothing to acquire - rather, it is in the letting go that change happens.

The need to control things is a natural response to living in a stressful and anxiety provoking society. Who doesn't want more (any) control - over our own health, wellbeing, relationships, let alone the madness of politics.

But deep down this desire for control comes from the belief that we are separate, flawed individuals; when in reality, we are all connected and already whole.

When we try to control things, we create stress and struggle. But life really does have its own rhythm, and when we trust that rhythm - that flow, we find peace.

Our job is to do our best, but the results are not ever in our hands.

Letting go doesn’t mean giving up—it means recognising that we were never really in control to begin with.
