I'm a proud #disabled #Autistic non-binary human who has a nack for collecting #ChronicIllness and vintage things.

I meander about #HighRiskCOVID, fixing our NDIS, ableism, cats and gaming - sometimes for money.

Sucked in bird app! Elephant got bigger character limit!
Me enjoying the longer character limit.
I hate to admit this but our feelings on certain things really do change as we get older. 10 years ago, I would have preferred to get a new video game instead of an engagement ring but now that I'm older, I would prefer to get a domesticated raccoon instead of an engagement ring.
It's joyous watching #Autistic tweeters revel in the longer character limit of this elephant app. Let your verbosity run wild! Infodump at will!

(Reposting lists so that they can be found on my new server.)

Let's bring together doctors, scientists, engineers, and all people who are advocating to reduce the transmission of SARS-CoV-2 and protect people's health.

We are stronger together!

Over on Twitter the vibe is extremely apocalyptic! I'm so grateful I've managed to wrap my head around this place a little. I must say, the vibe here is comparatively divine. It's so calm. I love it.

I'm going to share more of my art here because I can. I started making art regularly about a year ago now after engaging with an art therapy program as a novel approach to mental health management. It's been very successful for me. I love sharing what I've made as validation of my achievements is very healing for me.

I also believe artist's have a responsibility to share their art as it is not ours to judge. Nobody is capable of creating what our self is capable of creating and art heals.

I am very inspired by anatomy, skulls in particular and strive to use excessive colour. I would love to create more community with other artists of all kinds πŸ₯°πŸŒˆ

Please describe:

* your jokes/memes - it's no good saying "this is just silly, you're not missing anything"; let us be the judge of that! Also, being disabled isn't about being dull and worthy all the time.

* your artwork - I'm so sad when I see cool art I can't boost (and sometimes can't even discern :) )

* your gifs and videos - description isn't just for still images!

* your audio clips - yep, these can be described too!

Hello to all my fellow #disabilityrights #actuallyautistic and #neurodiversity advocates who are on the 🐘 app! Please πŸ‘‹ so that I can follow you.
I have encountered more image descriptions on Mastodon in 24 hours than I have in Twitter in a couple of years. Seriously. I'm not exaggerating.
As a blind person, this means a lot to me. If you read this and you describe your images, thank you so, so, so much on behalf of all of us. If you don't, now you know you'll be helping random Internet strangers make sense of your posts by typing in a few more words than usual.

Q for #disabled gamers.

I have rheumatoid arthritis, amongst other things, that causes extremely sore and pained hands. I also love games!

While God of War: Ragnarok has a wealth of accessibility options, I'm also a little stubborn and not keen to make the mechanics of the game easier. Can anyone advise of good #gaming gloves that help with reducing strain or impact on my hands as I'm playing?
