i lived in maryland for deacdes, and democratic leadership is so poor; they have abandoned so many in their base in their race to the middle,;failed to court young voters who live there, and have never learned how to deal; or even woken up to the fact that their opposition party is now a criminal gang of extremists... i really think they are going to continue to let this state, once a democratic stronghold, turn to the dark side.

We should federalize #medicaid We can close the coverage gap in the ten holdout red states so that millions of working poor can be insured.

We could create a "Diamond" tier #ACA plan with no deductibles or co-pays that includes dental/vision/hearing benefits and offer it to anyone up to 138% of the federal poverty level. It can be offered on a sliding scale to everyone else through the exchanges.

(Yes, #MedicareForAll would be better, but there aren't 60 Senate votes for it yet.)

i think you're describing commerce rather than capitalism

ever since we went down the river in canoes to exchange corn for seashells, yes, we engaged in commerce. capitalism concentrating money and power is done *through* commerce, but isn't also commerce itself

it's also an important distinction to make because fighting the abuses of capitalism does not mean fighting commerce itself, but modifying how we do commerce
