Been calling the current administration in invading force. That at least one journalist said the coup already happened, which I agree with.

This is the power consolidation phase of their war on us.

We can start shutting down data along with general strikes. We have to pull up steaks and shut the economy down.

That is going to take a lot of local support networks to pull off. It isn’t like we have much choice.

Not correct. Please don't spread disinformation. It was easy enough to check before you posted.

RU military budget is $126B. ICE will be $37.5B. That, however, makes that one domestic policing entity's budget larger than the 16th largest national military budget in the world - Italy. And larger than the countries of Israel, The Netherlands, Brazil, and Switzerland. Israel is currently at war, no reason for domestic ICE to have more funding than the IDF. None.

@tend2wobble In fairness, comparing the budgets between our country and Russia is a waste of time. Russia pays roughly 1/100th as much for every soldier as we do. People are basically a disposable commodity there.
This isn’t to downplay the disaster that is about to befall our country.

It will be interesting to see if civil society can muster enough negative reinforcement when people take an ICE paycheck that they can't recruit. The low hanging violent sociopathic racists will not feed that beast enough. They actually have to get decent people to take these jobs. If civil society can apply social pressure against joining ICE... is what I'm thinking/hoping for.

I'd certainly rather have all that money sitting idle in Jeff Bezos' bank account than funding concentration camps and thugs to put people in them.
