I happened to look at my spam folder and found an honest-to-goodness RECRUITMENT EMAIL in there, related to the same.

As suspected, I'm too old to be recruited, on the off chance that I wanted to take a 60+% pay cut, probably relocate, and certainly ruin my professional future (insomuch as I have one 😅).

(Also, based on their stated criteria, I'm arguably not qualified anyway, which is appalling, in light of who they HAVE let in.)

i've recently had nightmares about them, too. i dreamt that everyone had to walk thousands of miles to travel because the heartless oppressors made it unsafe to fly or drive. a woman walking with my group reunited with her gentle-hearted immigrant husband, who couldn't enter the city where she lived without risking them both. in my dream, i wept bitterly because the fascists separated them from each other. awaking from my dream, i cry in real life, too.
