Geeeez how is the #node/ #npm ecosystem such a massive pain in the ass? I've spent hours tweaking various relative paths to:
1. Run unit tests on my #Typescript source files
2. Import modules into those source files
I think I'm out of the woods now, but this is why I tried to do everything with no dependencies to start.
I think I would have given up on my #AISlop browser extension if I had tried doing any of this before I got an MVP built.

Started building some abstractions around indexeddb to use it as a cache for recently checked urls. This should reduce load on the API server, and cut down on bandwidth usage for clients.
Also implementing preloading the top reported domains when the extension starts up for the first time.

So glad I didn't go for #cloudflare turnstile as a captcha for my #AI slop blocker extension signup.
Though, I have to check whether #resend uses cloud flare 🤔 unfortunately email sending was the one thing I couldn't do either from my VPS or from my #homelab
