(He / Him) 'The Fixer of things'

Gen-X IT Nerd, who likes tinkering with small computers, regular-sized bicycles, playing video (and latterly tabletop) games and learning interesting things. What is 'interesting' changes on a daily basis. macOS and Linux user but tries not to be an insufferable c-word about it. Showing me Windows might make me grumpy though.

Took it to heart when someone told me "Growing old is mandatory, growing up is optional".

I spoke to dozens of departments about it, wrote guidance still in use today, and briefed Ministers on why it was so important. That's why I'm beyond disappointed at recent moves from NHS England to backtrack on…

Really coming to the conclusion that influencers are a plague and should be ignored.

Considering the shit-storm that Framework went through in defence of providing a couple of evaluation computers to the Omarchy project* it must feel like an almightly slap in the face to see DHH throw himself at the feet of Michael Dell.

  • I can understand them supporting the Railsworld conference, as that targets a wide range of developers who appear to be the main group they're trying to appeal to.
