🤓 Installed a LoraWan Gateway & added it to The Things Network. Took some time, mostly due to my sensor station sleeping most of the time. After a while I did see data coming in from my sensors through the gateway over The Things Network onto the server collecting the data. Interesting stuff.
I wonder if I can combine #Meshtastic or #Meshcore with this gateway as well?
I feel this actively maintained Offline Translator app deserves more attention (available via Fdroid) (e.g. in combination with Whisper + voice input), comes quite far as a replacement for BigTech translation apps. This project was funded through the NGI Mobifree Fund, a fund established by NLnet. .
An Android translator app that performs text, PDF/ODT documents and image translation completely offline using on-device models.
Supports automatic language detection and transliteration for non-latin scripts. There's also a built-in word dictionary.
Doperwtjes & pastinaak soep met bleekselderij, knolselderij & restje wortels gemaakt. Bij ons thuis ook bekend als 'Hulksoep' vanwege de groene kleur.
Prima gepureerd soepje dat ook koud lekker is, want het ziet er naar uit dat het deze week erg warm blijft. Vandaar ook maar even kokkerellen in de ochtend want dan is het nog wel te doen.

In de nieuwe release van Mastodon zitten features die we nodig hadden voor social.overheid.nl rondom digitale toegankelijkheid. Wij hebben die kunnen meefinancieren en zo hebben wij een beter platform, en de rest van de wereld ook. Zo investeren we in onze communicatiemiddelem en de gehele fediverse tegelijk.
Moe & voldaan thuis gekomen na 1 workshop & 1 presentatie over #DigitaleAutonomie te hebben gegeven op 't Nationaal Bibliotheek Congres in Utrecht. Meer mensen dan verwacht & leuke reacties gekregen.
Ik krijg de indruk dat mensen écht op zoek zijn naar welke stappen ze kunnen nemen om weg te komen bij #BigTech. Bibliotheken kunnen hierin een belangrijke rol in spelen. Bijv mbt informatie verschaffen over die stappen. De noodzaak is duidelijk.
