Impressed by how well DeltaChat works nowadays!

I could easily create an account without sharing any details. Connect with a friend's Android based phone & an iPhone. We could videocall & send small apps like a game or a shared list.

Apparently I can host my own chat relay & don't need to use someone else's infrastructure, but I haven't tested that yet.

This might be my Signal replacement. Well done @delta

De Bijenkorf stuurt me een e-mail (de afbeelding was alles, met onderwerp "Laatste kans: blijf genieten van je membership").

Helemaal geen informatie of specifieke details over mijn account en waarom het erg zou zijn dat mijn lidmaatschap komt te vervallen. Dus ik dacht de eerste keer, dit is spam. Na wat onderzoek lijkt het toch een legitieme e-mail. Dus ik dacht "okee, afmelden die hap". Werkt de afmeldlink niet, want die verwijst naar "sgmc://journey/13/1", wat dat ook mag wezen. Hoe dan ook, mijn journey stopt. Gegevens gewijzigd en vervolgens verzoek tot verwijdering van account.

Het is dan wel geen #DoeiDag, maar opruimen van accounts kan de gehele maand 😉

Misschien een goed idee voor #doeidag ? Mastodon.social is een aardig single point of failure geworden met servers op Amerikaanse jurisdictie, volgens mij.

Het was gelukkig niet mijn werklaptop.
