Sorry for the radio silence these last several days, but being sick is no fun. Things have improved now that I’ve gotten the correct antibiotics.

It is sort of anxiety inducing when you sleep soundly for the first time in weeks. Apparently I sat up and talked to the hubby at around 8, but immediately went back to sleep until noon, I just don’t remember it. #weird

I still wonder how I'm having this little luck at querying. I'm starting to really doubt myself. Even writing specifically to agents that claim they represent my genre isn't working out well.

As Friday approaches, I admit, I am getting increasingly nervous about what's ahead. It isn't only anxiety about the new year. Whenever I have to deal with another scan, I'm worried about the results. PTSD is a real thing in people who have been through cancer treatment. The worry about recurrence is always in the back of your mind somewhere.

I don't care what religion you are, I will always appreciate good thoughts and/or prayers.

This is an older photo of my cat Shadow. He's now humongous and weighs 16 1/2 pounds. It's hard to believe he was ever this tiny extroverted little kitten. He's still an over-affectionate little goofball even now....just a rather rotund one.

I don't deal well with holidays. Outside my hubby and kids, the rest of my family I was once close to are now all gone.

My older kids are adults and live far away. Only my youngest son still lives at home. He's half grown-up already.

Thanks to Covid and my other health problems, I have yet to meet my granddaughter in person. Seeing pictures of her opening the gifts I sent just isn't the same.

I try not to let on how sad I am because of the kids, but it's hard.
