Technology consultant by day, retro programmer and homebrew computer maker at all other times!
My first computer was an Oric-1 in 1983 - and I still have it.
Then an Atari 800XL - wonderful!
Finally an Amiga in 1988 until I joined the dark side of PC in 1995.
The computers of the 80s is where I find the charm, so made my own tribute in the form of a 65c02 homebrew computer with period graphics and sound!

A Javascript BBC Micro emulator

Beauty shot - MicroBeast mounts on the lid of the box that the kit comes in.

It puts the keyboard and display at a good angle, and you can close it up when you're not using it - we don't like bare PCBs gathering dust!

Proud of the free tools and games I make:

Once again I am without toots, so once again I present some gratuitous #8bit porn to start me off
Good morning wonderful retro computing fellow geek types. This morning, I have mostly been working with an 8-bit matrix:

If you're at a loose end on New Year's Eve, I'll be running a 25 (yes, TWENTY-FIVE!) hour GamesMaster pants-a-thon stream between New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. That works out to 58 episodes across all 7 series!

Dip in, dip out, it's all good😊

Well, now I've arrived, I really should post some pictures of some Dragons!
So this is it: I am starting a new adventure on Mastodon with Kilobyte Magazine. This is a free PDF-Zine about computers and consoles from the 1970s, 80s and 90s, fokussing on #8bit machines. Newer projects around these computers and consoles are also very welcome. For starters, I will probably post some older articles on here. You can find back issues as PDF easily for free online (like e.g. on archive.org). See you arond here!
