Technology consultant by day, retro programmer and homebrew computer maker at all other times!
My first computer was an Oric-1 in 1983 - and I still have it.
Then an Atari 800XL - wonderful!
Finally an Amiga in 1988 until I joined the dark side of PC in 1995.
The computers of the 80s is where I find the charm, so made my own tribute in the form of a 65c02 homebrew computer with period graphics and sound!

A Javascript BBC Micro emulator

Beauty shot - MicroBeast mounts on the lid of the box that the kit comes in.

It puts the keyboard and display at a good angle, and you can close it up when you're not using it - we don't like bare PCBs gathering dust!

Proud of the free tools and games I make:

@CommodoreStuff tusky is what I used, seems OK but haven't tried anything else to be honest!
Once again I am without toots, so once again I present some gratuitous #8bit porn to start me off
@nigecube Maplin will live on in my house!! I managed to pick up a bunch of breadboards when they were closing. I *will* use them to make something interesting - maybe another homebrew computer, or a peripheral for my Oric-1πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ˜Ž

I also have a YouTube channel.. and indeed I want to do a 2023 mini series about what one needs to consider in designing and building a homebrew computer πŸ€“
@roysterini
Totally agree, here for retro nerdiness in the main πŸ‘πŸ½
@jonn_blanchard
That's great and it's for playing in one's Fiesta XR2πŸ˜…πŸ˜
