Technology consultant by day, retro programmer and homebrew computer maker at all other times!
My first computer was an Oric-1 in 1983 - and I still have it.
Then an Atari 800XL - wonderful!
Finally an Amiga in 1988 until I joined the dark side of PC in 1995.
The computers of the 80s is where I find the charm, so made my own tribute in the form of a 65c02 homebrew computer with period graphics and sound!

Half a century– that's how long Atari has been around.

On November 11, 2022, we're ready to show you what's next in our story. #Atari50

PC-Engine Turbo Express, fully restored back from the dead. Replaced with a modern IPS screen and in mint condition. Very happy with all the work. 3 more to do 😂
I don't use this gif lightly, but..

@TheSpaceshipper The Sulaco as a papercraft model over 5ft in length that took a talented modeller a year to complete. Comprised of nearly 400 discrete pieces of 65lb cardstock on a chipboard skeleton, it weighs over 8 lbs. https://t.co/8M4iyN8Aid

$80 could get you a blue tick next to your name for 10 months.

Or

$80 could get you a Z80 based RC2014 Classic II running BASIC in 32k of RAM.

Which do you think will be more useful in the future?

Faster, faster, faster. I keep finding ways to optimise my raycaster for the Acorn Electron. Less calculations, more interpolation ==> more speed, less accuracy. #8bitcoders #acornelectron #raycaster
