I’m a long distance #runner. And I maintain a #blog about running: 42runs.eu. Part #running #adventures, part tips and #marathon #training advice, always #science. Medical #anthropologist

- Daily Question of the Day

@rickcarlino i don’t have any experience with it myself, but aparently it works sinilarcto power on a bike. And it takes headwind and tailwind into account, i’ve read. Maybe i should write a blog about it to figure it out myself
@christhompsonex then you do the same as i do. :) I do hr and feel, and tempo work on pace. And indeed when long runs have tempo blocks its also pace
Ok.. so a couple of days ago I stated that I ended up making a #vlog and in need for B-roll material. Today the insta360 X3 arrived, so tomorrow I will start shooting that B-roll stuff #staytuned (not that I'm great at vlogging though... But who cares, its fun) #running #training

Monday is rest day (except for strength training), so no report today. However I was writing a blog post, but somehow decided to stop writing and make a vlog.. So now I find myself in need for shooting B-roll material… this is how projects start haha #running #run #marathon
@waf note taken! For now i’m sticking with not to much fuel. if i take more my runs get a little less euhh comfy haha. But i will def change plan when the plateau arrives :)
#QD: as a follow up on yesterday: do you use gels/energy drink on an easy long run?
I don’t, only when it has tempo blocks #running #run #marathon

@waf no i don’t eat during my run. Unless its a long run with tempo blocks at the end like 30km with last 30 minute at marathon pace, then i take a gel. But i make sure during my LR I keep my HR low so no carbs needed. But every marathon cycle I also do some ‘unloaded’ tempo runs: doing tempo work on an empty carb tank forcing my body to use fat for fuel
