Not necessarily, Palantir are spooked enough to call general objections idealogical, which is wider than the general public. The objections are on Ethical and Security grounds.

Their long-term goal is to be the Eye of Sauron." tends to strike a chord. Even non-fans have probably seen the movies and understand the reference.

It's like they realized "Torment Nexus" and "Guinea Worm" were already taken, so they went with their third choice.

MaddieM4@hacks4pancakes I'm pleasantly surprised the market has turned on them at all! One of the "fun" traits of the stock market is that if you show up with an openly evil but effective business plan, investors will open their wallets and say "that sounds like a stock that's going up!"
