To me seemed as simple as Settings/Copilot uncheck the box. I succeeded there - but I wish I learned how to not pay for it before they got my money.

unfortunately even just „switching off Copilot“ is NOT POSSIBLE in Microsoft 365 - you can only disable all cloud-based functionality al at once. And this also would disable Sharepoint / OneCloud as well - which is simply not an option in a corporate context these days.
So Microsoft is shoving any stupid Word doc of nearly all companies on this planet through its LLM - without even being asked! This feature is a complete waste of resources for 99.9999.. % of users!
Even from an economic perspective this makes so f**n no sense!

@3mind @ahimsa_pdx @Radgryd Oh - I'm so fortunate to not need Sharepoint or any MS cloud stuff. I'm sure they've have several types of licenses, but on my Mac I see a single check box for Copilot. It's terrible the thought of Ai use that isn't even desired!

On old zero punctuation review comes to mind where the narrator pondered if there should be a dedicated 'fuck off' button on the --- then upcoming --- PS4 versus the 'social media share' button.
Every computer and application should by default we would like it to fuck off, and then wholeheartedly support our decisions.
