If anyone is following the news hoping the huge hideous bill might not pass, let me tell you--it will pass and always was going to pass.

The GOP will do whatever trump wants--which mostly aligns with what they also want. There may be some bickering over the details but none of that would prevent them from passing it and making sure the things trump wants and project 2025 have decreed are in there.

With maybe 2 exceptions, any threats from a GOP legislator to vote against it are just a performance for constituents at home. See: Josh Hawley, Lisa Murkowsky. They count the votes and decide how many and who will be allowed to cast a No vote, again as part of the show. See: Susan Collins.

I'm going to try out #WritingMonth this month. I have a couple of first drafts I like but never did anything with. So I'm going to take one of them and edit (well, rewrite) it. I need to add an entire plotline around the villain that I ignored in the first draft. There are also a few inconsistencies that I have to resolve somehow.

So instead of tracking a wordcount on the website, I'll just track time spent.

Funny how 73° when it's bright and sunny feels oppressively hot but 73° when it's cloudy with a slight breeze feels nice. Even at the same humidity level.
