Being a fascist is no badge of honour, quite the opposite.
I'm sure they would disagree. I doubt there are many fascists wouldn't be afraid to be open and transparent about their fear and bigotry.
The 'far' left is really just 1970s-style social democracy and only extreme in the context of forty-odd tears of venal neoliberalism and a New Gilded Age.
Huh?
That's good to know, thanks.
@jeffjarvis And we in Europe are also surprised that our rather conservative social democratic parties are already seen as βleft-wingβ in the USA. The normal left then becomes the extreme left. π€
Couldn't stop to search the article. OMG this is so bad on so many levels! A normal left party as "radicals", conservatives with left ideas??? Journalism for the bin.
@jeffjarvis as an unashamed communist β in its core meaning, a union of free people β I can only say:
Do we? Because it certainly doesnβt feel like itβ¦
Yes, Rupert, many people are not ashamed of being left-wing.
ME TOO and I am near 76 years old.
The right and Fascists are a clear danger to the future of humanity.
People aren't ashamed of not being POS ??? Shocking^^
Well said.
@bazkie @jeffjarvis Okay, as the image caption hints at, they are not buying the flowers, they are receiving them as gifts from the party The Left. Still looks weird.
(Also, the image caption mentions that this is Germany. Boooh! I was very pleased with my self, because I noticed the telling detail.)
@proedie @jeffjarvis (what detail? π€©)
how nice of the left to give out free flowers! *interest in left wing intensifies*
seriously tho, it's indeed weird that they would portray the left vaguely positively. maybe they are finally becoming scared of fascism?
It's not just the EU.
I was literally a card carrying Libertarian when I was 20.
Now at 50, I'm left of AOC.
