Picture 2: Nicki Minaj just posted that Trump gave her a Trump Gold Card, meaning he fast tracked her US citizenship so ICE would not deport her to her home country, Trinidad and Tobago.

The US farmers may lose all their workers to deportation, but thanks to Trump they can now go to a Nicki Minaj concert while the farm goes bankrupt.

Take Germany: two of our most visible right-wing/extremist politicians are unlikely personas: Jens Spahn (CDU) is homosexual and Alice Weidel (AfD) is homosexual, married to a Sri Lankan and does not live in Germany. But they are powerful and say the things the extremists like, feeling safe because of their status.

Cognitive dissonance doesn't seem to bother the populists and fascists. Part of why they are so dangerous.

As long as that comes with citizenship - and my understanding is that it does - and we assume a lawful government, then it should be fine. Lawfully working countries will not usually revoke citizenship, unless you're responsible for pretty nasty crime(s). It's very unusual. If she wants to be extra sure, then she would also give up her old citizenship, since there's extra protections, on top of the existing ones, against making people stateless by revoking their citizenship.

She's in for a rude shock when Trump's gone.

I hope she didn't hand over any money for that piece of tack; it's worse than useless.

And it paints her an idiot.

Yes, she received that card, but it is not a visa or something like that. The White House says it is only commemorative. Items a cult leader hands out to the faithful.

She has been a legal resident of the US for some 20 years, so she should be eligible for citizenship (unless she broke laws etc). No need for the golden visa.
